After 33 years of teaching, William D. Moser enrolled in the MFA-Writing program in fiction at Goddard College in Plainfield, VT. “I wanted to keep my mind from turning to mush, and I knew that if I got up every day and turned on the television, I would become the couch — not a couch potato.” Bill keeps active volunteering at a local grade school and the Chicago Humanities Festival, and he is currently writing a novel. He earned degrees from Eastern Illinois University (1967) and Governors State University (1978), has been married to Ann for almost 34 years, and had one son, Daniel, who died in an accident nine years ago. He published a couple chapbooks of poetry, Elsinore Revisited and Ashland Summer (both from Poets’ Farm Press), but those “slim volumes” are long since out of print.
