Julie Dunn was born and raised in East Lansing and Higgins Lake, Michigan. She graduated from East Lansing High School and studied journalism and biology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Julie moved to New York City in 1998 and has been writing for The New York Times since the fall of 1999.
Her articles have been published in the Science, BizDay, Metro, Automobile, Sunday Money & Business and City Weekly sections.
