Alissa Schwarz grew up on the north shore of Chicago. She received her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University, where she majored in the Writing Seminars, as well as a masters in integrated marketing from Northwestern University. She has pursued careers in marketing consulting and advertising as a way to marry creativity with paying the bills.
Her work was featured in Midnight Mind Number Four.
